Question, Persuade, Refer. Suicide prevention training.

Objectives

To learn how to recognize the signs or clues of suicidal thoughts To question the person on their suicidal ideation To persuade the person to get help To refer the person for services

Paws and Stripes is a small non-profit organization that provides service dogs to veterans who struggle with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury or Military Sexual Trauma. We also have a Companion Animal Program that is open to veterans and/or their family members. We also provide individual counseling to veterans and/or their family members, suicide prevention support groups and substance use support groups.

This presentation will be provided by Karinna Solares, Development Manager and Christa Moore, Outreach Coordinator, invaluable teams members at Paws and Stripes.
