Beyond the Case:
A Training for Systems Professionals Working with Survivors, Offenders, and Their Children
Description
The survivors you serve—and your community—depend on compassionate, informed responses. Beyond the Case: A Training for Systems Professionals working with Survivors, Offenders, and their children is a two-day, interactive training designed for law enforcement, prosecutors, court staff, victim advocates, and other system professionals who work directly with survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV).
This virtual training offers tools and insights to strengthen your skills and increase your confidence when handling these complex cases. You’ll learn how to:
● Recognize coercive control, abuser tactics, and lethality indicators.
● Apply trauma-informed strategies to reduce re-traumatization and build trust.
● Improve survivor safety through coordinated community response.
● Collaborate with local resources to better support survivors.
Together, we can change the climate of tolerance for domestic violence and create safer, stronger communities across New Mexico.
