De-Escalation: Maintaining our Survivor-Centered Lens in Times of Conflict

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

In this 90 minute session, advocates will be able to:

  • Define and Identify conflict;

  • Recognize the sources of conflict and the necessity of de-escalating; and

  • Understand the importance of knowing and addressing our biases before conflict occurs.

Advocates will have an opportunity to engage with the content in a way that allows for an Q and A, experiential activities, and recognition of the skill-set needed to minimize harm in the midst of conflict.
